Announcements

9/10 - Problem Set 2 is posted on the website.
9/16 - TA Office hours will resume at the hours posted on this website in 321 Everrit.
9/18 - Problem Set 3 is posted on the website.
9/22 - Practice Exam 1 is posted on the website.
10/14 - Problem Set 5 due October 17 and Problem Set 6 posted (due Oct. 24th).
10/21 - Problem Set 7 (due Oct. 31st) and Mid-Semester Exam 2 posted.
10/30 - Problem Set 8 posted (not to be turned in, but material will be covered in Exam 2)
-Exam 2 Review Session is next Tuesday, Nov. 5th, 5:00-6:30 pm, in 165 Everrit.
11/4 - OH Scheduled for Monday 3-4:30 have been postponed to Wednesday 2-3. Wednesday morning OH will resume as usual

11/5 - Corrections to Problem Set 8: In 8.1d, the correlation coefficient was not solved correctly: the answer should read 2/5y. In 8.5a, Rxx(tau) = 2*e^-|tau|, not 4*e^-|tau|.
11/13 - Homework 9 posted, due Nov 22nd.
11/22 - Homework 10 posted, due Dec 5th. Have a good break!
12/2 - Homework 11 posted (not due). Final Exam from fall 2001 is posted on the web. Solutions to the exam will be given during the review lecture on December 12, 2002.
12/9 - Please note that the solutions to homework problem 10.5 used N0/2 = 4 for all parts of the problem. It should have read just N0/2, i.e, the calculation for the variance at time T=1 and T=2 was incorrect and should have been in terms of N0/2.
-The last lecture on Thursday, Dec. 12 will be a review session conducted by the TA.

Grading:
Two mid-semester exams (25% each), Homework (10%), Final Exam (40%).
